Blind Tiger Inns undertakes £75,000 investment with Star Pubs and Bars

North west community pub operator Bind Tiger Inns is taking over the lease of The Rose and Crown in Chorley and undertaking a £75,000 investment with Star Pubs and Bars.

The pub will be Blind Tiger Inns’ 13th site and it already has a reputation for live music, cask ale and sports, and the operator’s plans will build on this.

Changes will include installing six new HD screens and sound system to improve sports viewing, creating a comfortable area of booth seating, upgrading the cellar and installing SmartDispense. The garden will also be redecorated with new furniture, planting and an outdoor TV screen, as well as festoon lighting and heating to enable year-round use. The refurbishment work will be undertaken by Blind Tiger Inns’ network of contractors.

Blind Tiger Inns’ MD, Chris Tulloch, said: “In our experience a safe comfortable environment, great entertainment and outstanding quality coupled with good value for money are key to success in community pubs. It’s a tried and tested formula for us and is delivering 30% sales growth year on year at our pubs.

“The offer at The Rose and Crown will be in line with this. We’ll be keeping the pub as a traditional local but complementing it with the latest technology and a fantastic new look. We’ve built up a strong partnership with Star Pubs and Bars at our sites with them and appreciate the flexibility of being able to undertake the work ourselves.”

David Pritchard, Star Pubs and Bars regional operations director for the north west, added: “Blind Tiger Inns understand and deliver what pub-goers want. They have a great track record of growing business at the community locals they operate with us.”
