Punch Pubs partners with Budweiser to stock Ukrainian beer

Cans of Chernigivske (4.8% ABV) feature the Ukrainian flag on their packaging and Budweiser aims to donate £3.9m to support humanitarian relief efforts

Budweiser Brewing Group announced that Chernigivske, a Ukrainian beer brand, will be participating in Punch Pubs venues across the UK. Punch Pubs are reportedly one of the first pub companies to stock Chernigivske beer in their 1,300 pubs across the country.

All Budweiser Brewing Group profits in this collaboration will be in support of humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine, and all sales of Chernigivske are reportedly going to Caritas International charity, which forms part of a wider initiative from AB InBev, who have pledged to donate at least $5m (£3.9m) in support of humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine.

Punch publicans are also encouraged to donate to the Sanctuary Foundation, with a number having already pledged their support to the foundation, as well as other Ukrainian charities, as they “look to play their part”.

Russell Danks, marketing and strategy director for Punch Pubs and Co., added: “We’re delighted to partner with Budweiser Brewing Group on this brilliantly worthwhile project. I am proud that we are one of the first pub companies to stock Chernigivske beer.

“Our pubs have truly led the way; we have also partnered with the Sanctuary Foundation, which helps those seeking refuge in the UK following the horrors unfolding in Ukraine. These partnerships represent a symbolic standing against the war in Europe and meaningful response to those in crisis.”
