Stonegate launches ‘The People’s Pub’ portfolio
While each of the 220 pubs within The People’s Pub will keep its own name and unique personality, they will be united by a consistent food and drink offer

Stonegate Group has brought 220 pubs together under one umbrella, known as ‘The People’s Pub’, as the operator continues to evolve its brands and formats.
Starting from today (15 April), The People’s Pub is being rolled out with a new food and drink menu. Every pub in this portfolio will also focus on offering “great beer, live sport, proper food and top-tier entertainment”.
The new menu features improvements to classics and new additions across key categories, such as a new premium burger, chicken tikka masala and billionaire’s chocolate fudge cake.
The People’s Pub offers “trendy” drinks such as the Party Paloma, a blend of Casamigos Blanco tequila and raspberry liqueur, and the Mini Beer Shot, a caramel-vanilla twist on the Baby Guinness, layered with Licor 43 and Baileys and served in a mini beer tankard.
While each of the 220 pubs within The People’s Pub will keep its own name and unique personality, they will be united by a consistent food and drink offer.
Stonegate Group aims to ensure that “every pub is in the right format to thrive”.
The Blob Shop in Liverpool, the gothic-themed Pit and Pendulum in Nottingham, and the “famously haunted” Golden Fleece in York are just a few of the venues under The People’s Pub brand.
David McDowall, chief executive of Stonegate Group, said: “Each of these pubs is unique, shaped by the brilliant general managers who run them and the locals who bring them to life.
“These are places where strangers become regulars, everyone feels welcome, and where great entertainment, sport and food and drink are at the heart of the experience.”
