Beef and Bass restaurant to open in Chelsea

The main restaurant will feature an open kitchen and a charcoal grill, as well as a private dining room, where chefs will prepare signature dishes over live fire

New restaurant Beef and Bass will be opening its first 4,512 sq ft site in London’s 356-360 King’s Road, specialising in premium cuts of beef and wild sea bass.

Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed into an “intimate” 14-cover speakeasy bar. The main restaurant will feature an open kitchen and a charcoal grill, as well as a private dining room, where chefs will prepare signature dishes over live fire.

Diners can choose between selected cuts of beef or wild sea bass, complemented by a curated selection of house specialities.

A refined cocktail list and a selection of wines will accompany the menu: bourbon-based blends designed to enhance the meat, and tequila-based creations crafted to enhance the fish, both pairing with Beef and Bass’s signature tacos and bao buns.

The founders, Alessandro Verdenellie and Daniele Pampagnin, have spent many years leading the culinary direction and guest experience at restaurants, hotels, and private clubs in London and internationally, including KX Private Members’ Club, while also delivering private dining experiences throughout Chelsea.

The new restaurant joins other debuts on Sloane Stanley’s Estate, such as Claude Bosi’s Josephine and Chris Denney’s Fantomas, as well as Alley Cats and Pizza Pilgrims.

Hannah Grievson, property director at Sloane Stanley, said: “In the last year, we have welcomed some great restaurant concepts to the neighbourhood, both established and new. We have created a hub of high-quality, pioneering F&B operators within one of the most iconic areas of Chelsea, and Beef and Bass choosing us to launch its first ever restaurant speaks volumes about our location and the opportunity available here to reach a wide demographic.”

Pampagnin added: “Beef and Bass is unlike anything else on the UK dining scene. When choosing our first location, we knew it had to be somewhere that truly celebrates premium food and elevated experiences. With its rich history and refined elegance, King’s Road felt like the perfect match.

“We’ve carefully crafted our menu and sourced our ingredients to be suitable and respectful of diverse dietary and religious needs. We’re excited to be part of this dynamic new chapter for Chelsea.”
