Burger King announces partnership with UK Youth
This partnership will provide essential funding over the next two years and support the charity’s work helping young lives by unlocking youth work as a catalyst for change
Burger King has announced its partnership with UK Youth, a charity that works to ensure all young people are equipped to “reach their full potential and thrive at every stage of their lives”.
This comes as new research revealed that 83% of young people say their mental wellbeing has been negatively impacted by the current economic climate, while 19% say they feel more helpless than they did before.
Burger King said this partnership will provide essential funding over the next two years and support the charity’s work helping young lives by unlocking youth work as a catalyst for change.
Nicola Pierce, director of commercial planning and ESG at Burger King, said: “UK Youth plays a crucial role in empowering young people to overcome obstacles and achieve their maximum potential. These ambitions resonate strongly with Burger King UK and we are proud to become official charity partners, supporting UK Youth to create meaningful positive change.”
Leo Visconti, director of external relations at UK Youth, added: “We are extremely grateful for Burger King’s support which comes at a critical time, with the youth sector being hit especially hard by the cost-of-living crisis in the UK.
“Quality youth work provisions can transform a young person’s life – as well as benefit the wider UK economy – so investment from businesses and funders into the youth sector is absolutely vital to our country’s future.”
