Burley Manor appoints new executive head chef

Burley Manor, part of the New Forest Collection, has announced the appointment of Andras Veres as executive head chef.

Veres joins Burley Manor from Natural Fitness Food in London, where he has been head chef since 2020.

He began his career 1997 at a restaurant in Hungary before working at esteemed establishments such as The Guardsman Hotel near Buckingham Palace and Petrus Restaurant which is part of the Gordon Ramsay Group.

Veres will start his new role with the introduction of a new lunch menu including tapas, flatbreads, intricate deli selection and lunch plates.

He said: “I am extremely excited to be heading up the Burley Manor kitchen team. With a location such as this, it’s difficult not to be inspired. Understanding the forest’s unique seasonal calendar is something I am eager to learn and showcase within my menu designs.

“A truly exciting time to be joining Burley Manor and I’m looking forward to welcoming guests from near and far to enjoy the taste of the forest.”

Burley Manor is an adults-only retreat with wellness rooms, luxurious Temple Spa products and sumptuous Manor and Garden Suites.
