Mark Jones, CEO of Carluccio’s, said: “We have identified potential franchisees partners to assist us in opening in airports and travel hubs as well as in Ireland.

“We currently operate two successful restaurants in Dublin, but believe there is room for up to 10 across the country in cities including Cork and Limerick as well as additional sites in Dublin.”

He added: “Carluccio’s all-day trading format performs particularly well in our travel locations such London Heathrow Terminal 5, King’s Cross St Pancras, Waterloo, Manchester Piccadilly and Birmingham Grand Central stations, and there is scope to grow that faster.

“We believe that is best done with partners that specialise in these environments.”

This news follows the recent refurbishment of its sites London Heathrow Terminal 5, as well as Carluccio’s restaurants in Richmond, Canary Wharf and Bluewater Shopping Centre.

It is expected to choose its franchise partners early next year.
