Chopstix unveils franchise partnership with Butlin’s
This year, Chopstix appointed Aaron Moore-Saxton as the company’s first ever franchise director, to support its continued growth plans in the franchise space
Chopstix has announced a new franchise agreement with holiday resort operator, Butlin’s.
The Asian QSR brand will open a site at Butlin’s Bognor Regis resort next year following the move, with ambitions to roll out to resorts in Minehead and Skegness in the future.
Butlin’s will also open Skyline Eats in 2023, a new food and drink destination in the Skyline Pavilion. Chopstix will join F&B franchises Burger King, Costa Coffee and Papa John’s, in the modern restaurant venue. Skyline Eats will also include Butlin’s own ice cream dessert parlour, Scoop and sandwich franchise Subway who will also be a new partner to the Sussex resort.
Commenting on the partnership, Chopstix co-founder, Menashe Sadik, said: “Sir Billy Butlin remains an inspiration for entrepreneurs in the UK, so it’s really special that the business that Sam and I started on a stall at Camden Market is going to be at a Butlin’s resort next year. We’re as passionate about the business now as we were on day one, and a partnership like this only makes us more excited about the future for Chopstix.”
Nikki Ratcliffe, Butlin’s Bognor Regis Resort director added: “Our new Skyline Eats destination is an exciting development at Bognor Regis. As the home of entertainment, we believe that eating and drinking plays a huge part when on holiday.
“Having these five restaurants all under one roof gives our guests plenty to choose from throughout the day. We are delighted to be partnering with fast-growing Chopstix, in response to our guests asking for a Pan-Asian choice. We’re confident the ‘faster, fresher, tastier’ proposition, menu customisation and incredible speed of service will be a big hit with our guests and our team alike.’’
Full management of the Bognor Regis site will be overseen by Butlin’s, with all team members undergoing a full Chopstix induction.
Jon Lake, managing director, Chopstix, added: “Franchising is an important part of our growth strategy and this partnership is another important landmark in our ongoing expansion. We’ve seen that Chopstix can make an instant impact at holiday resorts, so we’re confident that Chopstix will quickly become a popular addition to the dining options at Butlin’s.”
This year, Chopstix appointed Aaron Moore-Saxton as the company’s first ever franchise director, to support its continued growth plans in the franchise space, and the business recently announced that its partnership with Sparta Foods LTD would create 25 new sites across North Wales and the North West of England over the coming years.
Chopstix operates more than 80 locations across the UK and Ireland, with over 25 franchise sites run through partnerships with the likes of Welcome Break and Applegreen.
