Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh West announces new head chef
Varvara Sainti has been promoted following her performance as sous chef at the hotel
Scotland’s first sports hotel, the Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh West has announced the promotion of Varvara Sainti to head chef, following her performance as sous chef at the hotel.
Studying Hospitality in Rhodes, Sainti gained practical experience working in a number of boutique hotels in Greece, as well as on private yachts sailing the Mediterranean, before taking up the position in Edinburgh.
Sainti said:”‘I’m so excited to lead the kitchen team. My time at Courtyard by Marriott West has allowed me to work extensively with top tier professional sports teams, and their complex needs, coupled with those of a commercial kitchen have been a fantastic challenge.
“I can’t wait to launch our new menu, and I hope our guests can enjoy what we’ve been planning.”
General manager, Stephen Williams, added: “Varvara has made a great impact to the hotel, and it’s been wonderful seeing her move from sous to head chef. Her experience and passion for great food are a wonderful asset to the team, and I can’t wait for our guests to enjoy the new menu items Varvara has planned.”
