D&D London to launch new Haugen restaurant in October

The restaurant will be based at the International Quarter London and will open in September 2021

D&D London has announced the launch of its new restaurant, Haugen, at The Pavilion at the International Quarter London (IQL).

Currently set to open in September 2021, the restaurant, bratessire and outdoor bar will serve Alpine cuisine inspired by foods from Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France.

The establishment is named after Anders Haugen, the ski jumper and American’s first Olympic skiing medallist.

“Our restaurant and food concepts have been inspired by its architecture and location. For those Londoners who love their Alpine rostis and tartiflettes this will be a must go restaurant.”

Guy Thomas, head of place assets at Lendlease, said: “Since its inception we have always seen The Pavilion as an iconic building which will help form a new focal point and heart for IQL and Stratford.

“D&D’s concept of Haugen as a warm, welcoming place for all Londoners with an Alpine theme works perfectly with the CLT structure, which is celebrated inside and out.”

He added: “Haugen will undoubtedly put Stratford on the map as a destination for all food lovers, as well as acting as a focal point for the community. We look forward to its opening in September.”
