Doner Shack to debut in London this month
Spread across two floors, the 35-seater restaurant will have a kitchen with robotic kebab cutters and a custom-designed travelator to transport the food to customers
Berlin street food brand Doner Shack has announced that it will be opening its first London store on Baker Street on 27 March.
To celebrate the opening of the store, which comes after its success in Manchester, Leicester and Glasgow, the brand will be offering 200 free kebaps a day from the opening until the end of March between noon and 2pm.
Spread across two floors, the 35-seater restaurant will have a “state-of-the-art” kitchen with robotic kebab cutters and a custom-designed travelator to transport food to customers. There will also be several self-ordering kiosks, as well as a milkshake station.
In addition, the restaurant will be open for indoor dining, take-away, delivery or click and collect.
Sanjeev Sanghera, co-founder and managing director of Doner Shack, said: “Baker street is our first innovation restaurant, and we’re so excited to bring a new culinary sensation to London. In Germany, kebabs outsell the top five fast food brands 5-1 on a daily basis. This is not only due to the fact that the kebaps taste delicious, but also that the product itself uses premium quality lean meats and the freshest of ingredients all cooked to order.
“We are passionate about changing the perception of the late-night kebab scene in the UK. I believe we have created a truly exceptional place of fun and creativity for Baker Street’s diners. Döner Shack can’t wait to officially open the doors and welcome everyone in on 27th March.”
