Fatt Pundit opens second London site
The new restaurant on Maiden Lane will be an ‘evolution’ of its original Soho site, with the group hoping to bring the ‘unique influence’ of India’s Chinese community and culture from Tangra, Kolkata to Covent Garden, London

Fatt Pundit, an Indo-Chinese inspired dining concept, has announced the opening of its second restaurant in Covent Garden this August.
The new restaurant on Maiden Lane will be an “evolution” of its original Soho site, with the group hoping to bring the “unique influence” of India’s Chinese community and culture from Tangra, Kolkata to Covent Garden, London.
Set across two floors, the new space will have its own distinct look and feel, with the interiors set to reflect the vibrant streets of Kolkata and it will also feature antique Chinese and Indian artifacts throughout.
Fatt Pundit Covent Garden will also feature two bar areas which will serve cocktails and other alcoholic beverages.
Fatt Pundit was founded in 2019 by Huzefa and Hamza Sajawal, who are both originally from Mumbai, India.
Huzefa Sajawal, said: “We’re excited to be opening our second Fatt Pundit in London’s buzzy West End. It has been a rocky year for us all in hospitality, but we have been overwhelmed by the continued support from our community and are excited to be moving forward once again.”
