Geode to open in Knightsbridge
Upon entry, guests will find a cocktail bar before making their way up to a split-level mezzanine featuring a conservatory with a theatre kitchen and up again, is a second late night dining area
Neha Beriwala of Arrow Hospitality, who’s restaurant portfolio includes Kutir in Chelsea and Manthan in Mayfair, has announced the launch of Geode on Beauchamp Place in Knightsbridge.
Geode, a vibe-dining concept introduced to Knightsbridge by Salvatore Broccu and Marios Louvaris (formerly of Novikov Group), focuses on contrast and theatrical experiences to bring back “old-school glamour”.
The 7000 sq. ft new destination is set to open on 14 September and has been designed by Studio Sagrada, in a close partnership with Neha Beriwala and will span across three floors of a Georgian townhouse.
The site will include a cocktail bar as well as a split-level mezzanine featuring a conservatory with a theatre kitchen, with the final floor containing a second late night dining area.
Executive chef Francesco Scala will draw inspiration from Mediterranean and Asian influences with a theatrical kitchen featuring different ways of roasting, grilling and barbecuing meat and selective game.
The split menu will showcase seasonal dishes using local ingredients and will include beef tartare on roasted bone marrow, Saam de papada iberica and Mock Duck.
Meanwhile, Japanese Chef Yuka Aoyama (ex-Nobu, Roka and Annabel’s) will offer a selection of South Asian and Japanese dishes.
The Asian and Mediterranean influence will also continue in the drinks menu, using key ingredients and flavours with highlights including a Ruby Negroni – Strawberry infused Mezcal, Saffron Vermouth and Campari or a Geode Old Fashioned with Chocolate and tobacco bitters, Pipe’s Dream Bourbon, Orange and Maraschino.
At one point in the evening the conservatory will transform with a curtain in place to ‘close the kitchen’ creating an evening lounge area.
The upper restaurant will stay open till late, whilst below the bar and lounge area will see live music and DJ performances.
