Heartwood Collections has snapped up two more of Whitbread’s restaurants – the George and Dragon, and the Red Lion – for an undisclosed amount.
The George and Dragon is a traditional riverside site in Marlow, serving traditional dishes with “a friendly heritage feel”.
Meanwhile, the Red Lion is a “stylish” community location that features a large beer garden in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Both properties are set to undergo multi-million-pound refurbishments.
Heartwood Inns has acquired four sites from Whitbread so far, having added the Forester in Chingford and The Manor Inn, Godalming, earlier this year.
Noel Moffitt, senior director of pubs and restaurants at Christie and Co, who brokered the deals, said: “We are delighted to see these sites pass to Heartwood, furthering their ambitious growth plans.”
