Italian restaurant Paradiso launches in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter

The restaurant can seat 60 people and has been given a Mediterranean look, styled with tiles and live plants

Paradiso, an Italian Pizzeria and Pasta Trattoria, is opening the doors to its new restaurant in the Jewellery Quarter on 27 July.

The new site will be the fourth Paradiso in the West Midlands, with other sites in Oldbury, Bromsgrove, and Hall Green.

The Italian dishes on the Amalfi Coast-inspired menu start at £4.50 for antipasti, which include the traditional Bruschetta Pomodoro and Caprese Salad.

From the Italian ovens, diners can choose from a range of pizzas, including the ‘Birmingham Star’ — with yellow tomato confit, grilled chicken and Italian beef pancetta, accompanied by fresh hot chillies, mozzarella and parmigiano, topped with homemade cream beetroot and 24 carat gold leaf.

The restaurant will also offer pastas ranging from classic Carbonara to “Italian favourite” Olio Aglio.

According to Paradiso, the menus are built around regional, traditional recipes, which have been created using “innovative cooking techniques to enhance the richness of the pizza and pasta”.

The restaurant can seat 60 people and has been given a Mediterranean look, styled with tiles and live plants.

It also features an open kitchen where customers can see the pizzaiolos making authentic Italian food.

The new restaurant has created 25 jobs in the area.

Commenting on the launch, Salim Ahmed, regional operations manager of Paradiso, said: “We are excited to join the Jewellery Quarter community. ”Here at Paradiso, we think people should be able to savour amazing flavours of the idyllic Amalfi coast on their gastronomic journey with us.

“We complement our gorgeous food with a range of delicious drinks that will make sure you can remember your visit with pleasure, as all our drinks are alcohol-free as we want to provide a healthier and more mindful experience.”
