Novotel hotel relaunches bar and restaurant after £900k investment
Hotel operator Novotel, has announced the relaunch of its bar and restaurant at its London City South hotel following a £900,000 redesign and refurbishment forming a part of the hotel’s £1.15m renovation.
This is the latest stage of the investment in the hotel, after all its 182 guest rooms, six meeting rooms and lobby spaces were updated in 2018.
There are plans to make the bar and restaurant the focal point of all activity on the ground floor of the hotel and the design takes inspiration from the property’s location, referencing the nearby Borough Market through the use of wood and metal frames.
This is also reflected in the Gourmet Bar menu, which focuses on produce from several food and drink suppliers from Borough Market including Borough Wines, Cannon and Cannon charcuterie and La Tura Pasta.
Matt Brett, general manager at Novotel London City South, said: “We’re excited and proud to open a new chapter for City South. I’m looking forward to welcoming guests from near and far to experience our revitalised bar and restaurant space. Whether it’s for a quiet mid-morning meeting or Friday night after work drinks, our newly designed space provides for a variety of needs and experiences.”
