The founders of Rarebit, an all day neighbourhood kitchen and bar, have officially opened a new site in Elephant Park in Elephant and Castle.

Mark Angell and Will Nias, who have “extensive experience” in convivial neighbourhood hospitality in South London, have launched a new 55 cover site which also features a 16 cover terrace.

The site offers modern British food, working with the local producers, serving coffee from Climpson and Sons, bread and pastries from Flor, fresh produce from Natoora, cheeses from Neal’s Yard Dairy and rare breed meats from O’ Shea’s Butchers from London Smoke and Cure.

Angell and Nias said: ‘We’re thrilled to be part of the regeneration of Elephant & Castle and this exciting development and want to create a lively, friendly and relaxed atmosphere for locals, as well as drawing those from further afield who will come to witness Chef Lionel’s passion for producing creative and unique dishes.
