Rosa’s Thai Cafe opens Bluewater restaurant
Rosa’s Thai Cafe has opened a new site in the Bluewater Plaza in Kent, becoming the first Thai restaurant to open in the shopping centre.
The new restaurant will host up to 90 customers across 2,500 sq ft in the upper plaza next to the Showcase Cinema du Lux expansion. The interiors, designed by Moreno Masey, feature a “bold” red and blue colour scheme throughout, with industrial touches such as exposed metal beams and the company’s signature wooden panelling.
The menu at Bluewater will include its famous pad thai and green and red curries, massaman curry and spicy drunken noodles, as well as a signature ‘Thai Iced Tea’ and cocktails infused with popular Thai flavours and spices.
Managing director Gavin Adair, said: “Opening a branch at Bluewater is an exciting expansion for our highly in-demand cuisine. London was a great starting point for us to offer our authentic and sustainably sourced dishes, but we wanted to reach out to an even wider market.
“We’re delighted to be bringing an entirely new type of cuisine to Bluewater, which we view as one of the UK’s leading retail and leisure destinations.”
Robert Hardie, portfolio director at Landsec, co-owner and asset manager of Bluewater, added: “Guests at Bluewater have told us for some time that they would like to see Thai cuisine offered as part of our dining options. We have seen strong demand for space in the plaza and we know Rosa’s Thai Cafe will be a popular addition.”
