Sexy Fish to open new Manchester site in October
The restaurant will feature artworks from international artist, Damien Hirst, including three giant sculptures incorporating creatures from under the sea
Sexy Fish has announced its new Manchester site is set to open its doors on 12 October 2023 and has opened reservations today (20 September) ahead of the launch.
The new restaurant will be open daily for lunch and dinner in the former Armani building facing onto Deansgate in Manchester.
It will offer a la carte options, Omakase tasting menus and late-night dining options.
The restaurant will feature artworks from international artist, Damien Hirst, including three giant sculptures incorporating creatures from under the sea.
Additional interior elements include a collection of ‘Fish Lamps’ from designer and architect Frank Gehry, a Verde Esmerelda stone floor, and a series of bespoke glass columns created by master Venetian glassmakers on the island of Murano.
Curated by visionary chef director, Bjoern Weissgerber, the menu will feature a combination of Sexy Fish signatures alongside a series of new recipes, created exclusively for Manchester.
Bespoke dishes include Chicken Ume and Shisho Gyoza, a Crispy Lemon Sole with Wasabi Dip and Ponzu , Sea Bream Ceviche, and Salmon and Sweetcorn Signature Maki.
Guests will also be able to order four “unique” Manchester serves including the Banana and Cacao, featuring Haku vodka, banana and cacao, and Watermelon and Basil, with Grey Goose Vodka, watermelon, basil, Campari, and Tio Pepe.
Set against the backdrop of a cascading waterfall, the glowing pink onyx destination bar will serve creations from the Trinity Menu.
Alongside a magnificent wine and champagne selection from the world’s “top” vintages and estates, Sexy Fish Manchester offers a variety of Japanese whiskies.
Additionally, Sexy Fish Manchester will offer exclusive late-night entertainment with international performers alongside a late-night menu, available on Thursdays (from 26 October), Fridays and Saturdays (from 13 October).
The restaurant will house a private dining room, The Tropical Reef Room, seating up to 36 guests and accommodating 50 guests standing.
