Shake Shack reopens for delivery amid Covid-19 crisis

American burger chain Shake Shack has announced it has reopened its central London Tottenham Court Road store for takeaway and delivery, with plans to open its Canary Wharf site on Thursday (30 April).
Customers will be able to order home delivery via Deliveroo from the stores, as the restaurant said it will have “strict” social distancing measures in place.
Some of the measures will include face masks for all team members, floor markers to promote social distancing, contactless pick-up and delivery, and allocated pick-up zones for delivery riders.
The company has also said it will deliver 1,000 free meals to NHS hospitals in partnership with Deliveroo, and will be running a buy-one-get-one-free offer for emergency services workers.
The reopening comes after the chain temporarily closed its doors last month, following government advice.
