The Bugis Singapore Restaurant and Bailey’s Bar to open in South Kensington

The cocktail menu is inspired by Lord Bailey’s journey in the Far East

The Bugis Singapore Restaurant and the Bailey’s bar is set to relaunch on 20 July in South Kensington.

The Bugis will serve authentic Singaporean, Malaysian and Chinese cuisines made from locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.

It takes its name ‘The Bugis’ from the “bustling” area in Singapore renowned for its “flair of street food and flavours”.

The Bugis originally opened in 1995 on the corner street and has received numerous accolades and awards as one of “London’s best Asian restaurants”.

Since then, it has relocated inside The Bailey’s Hotel, and has undergone a full renovation featuring a modern interior and an upscaled Bailey’s Bar.

The cocktail menu is inspired by Lord Bailey’s journey in the Far East.

The Bugis Singapore Restaurant features a new culinary approach with small and sharing plates.

The cuisine is deeply rooted in the Malay peninsula, Singapore street food and hawkers’ heritage.

It also features Chinese, Malay and Indian authentic and traditional family recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation using simple old techniques and locally sourced ingredients.
