The Crown Hotel opens The Crown Pub and Grill
The new Grill Restaurant offers a fine-dining menu which includes modern-day British classic dishes with a focus on grilled meats and fresh fish options
The Crown London Hotel is set to launch The Crown Pub and Grill which will open its doors on 30 April 2023.
The pub is a terracotta, Grade II listed-Victorian structure, which was first constructed by the architects Shoebridge and Rising in 1899.
It acted as a coaching tavern, lying on a local route that accommodated carriages passing between London, Elstree, Watford, and St Albans.
The new Grill Restaurant offers a fine-dining menu which includes modern-day British classic dishes with a focus on grilled meats and fresh fish options.
The breakfast menu features pastries, fruits, a hot buffet which includes Herb sausages, bacon, hash browns, baked beans, scrambled eggs, oven roasted mushrooms, and black pudding.
The Grill restaurant will also offer some vegan and gluten free breakfast.
Additionally, the restaurant has curated an afternoon tea menu which will be served everyday from 12:30PM to 5PM.
The menu includes savouries, brioche rolls, scones, mini cakes and puddings and a selection of tea and coffee.
Craig Cox, general manager at The Crown Hotel, said: “We are thrilled to finally be opening the doors of The Crown Pub. London is packed with beautiful old pubs. And at the Crown Pub, it’s never been just the pint on offer, but the countless stories attached that make this pub iconic.
“We are working hard to give the patrons of the Crown Pub a unique and special experience that blends the vintage Victorian feel with modern amenities and style. The Crown Pub will perfectly combine traditional pub culture with modern flair, offering a unique and welcoming space for locals and tourists alike.”
