The Good Egg opens new restaurant in Camden

The street food options have origins from across Middle Eastern countries such as Lebanon and Israel

Middle Eastern-inspired restaurant, The Good Egg, has launched its new all-day dining restaurant in Camden.

The new restaurant is located in Camden Stables Market and features a 70-cover restaurant (40 inside, 30 outside).

Like its sister sites, the independent all-day restaurant will serve up dishes inspired by the flavours of the Middle East, with nods to the cuisine of Tel Aviv’s Street food stalls, the fare sold in the classic Jewish delis, grand old cafes and bagel bakeries of New York and Montreal.

The menu features Knafeh Ka’ak – a Middle Eastern speciality consisting of crisp kataifi pastry steeped in thyme and orange syrup and cheese and served in a fresh sesame coated ‘ka’ak’ or bagel.

It also includes dishes from Stoke Newington and Margate; The Good Egg Shakshuka with preserved lemon yoghurt, Babka French Toast with blackberry and honeycomb and the viral Arayes – mushroom + harissa stuffed corners of pita seared to golden perfection. Fresh and fluffy pitas and bagels are also on offer

The street food options have origins from across Middle Eastern countries such as Lebanon and Israel.

Additionally, its drinks menu features a selection of cocktails including a Sour Cherry and Campari soda, Harissa Bloody Mary alongside house sodas like Limonana. The wine list focuses on natural and biodynamic bottles with a changing by-the-glass offering.

Oded Mizrachi, head pastry chef and one of the founding team behind The Good Egg, said: “We are incredibly excited to bring The Good Egg to Camden. Like the other restaurants, Camden will offer a fun, relaxed service and a menu full of bright, bold and colourful sharing-style dishes, inspired by our heritage, our travels and our upbringing.”
