Tortilla has launched its first ever app, which includes a new loyalty programme – The Burrito Society. 

This latest announcement builds on the group’s new strategy which focuses on investing in technology along with the Tortilla brand to drive growth.

The new app, which climbed to second spot in the food and drinks category on the App Store over its first weekend, aims to bring together “like-minded burrito fans” and reward them for their loyalty.

According to Tortilla, the new app brings everything together in one place to allow customers to collect stamps, unlock rewards, order ahead, find their nearest restaurant and enjoy exclusive perks. 

A new key feature of the app is its ‘refer a friend’ functionality where customers will receive an additional stamp for every friend they introduce to the app. 

This addition was made after insights told Tortilla that over 95% of its customers would recommend the brand to friends and family. 

Andrew Brook, technology director at Tortilla, said: “This is another huge step in our digital transformation journey. The customer experience has been central to the creation of our new app – we wanted to make it as easy as possible to reward our loyal fans more often. 

“It has been great to see the incredible reaction already from our customers and crew.”
