Tropea unveils new additions following extension
As a result the menu now includes Beef carpaccio, Sicilian Arancino with butternut squash, Sardines ‘in soar’ on crostini, and Sardinian fregola pasta with chilli and native mussels
Tropea, a Harborne-based Italian restaurant, has recently extended into the next door premises to add 25 more covers and double the kitchen size.
Thanks to the extension, a number of walk-in tables will be open, as well as a new bar for guests to sit at.
Alongside this, the extension has allowed for increased kitchen space allowing for new equipment, giving the chefs the opportunity to innovate the menu.
As a result the menu now includes Beef carpaccio, Sicilian Arancino with butternut squash, Sardines ‘in soar’ on crostini, and Sardinian fregola pasta with chilli and native mussels.
Ben Robinson Young and Kasia Piatkowska, owners of Tropea, said: “As a true neighbourhood restaurant, we could not be more excited to reopen our doors for friends of Tropea and introduce new faces to the refreshed space.
“As always, Tropea will remain an intimate and cosy restaurant with the extension allowing us to offer more variety in sitting options. Now that we’re able to offer walk-ins, there will always be a spot for regular locals to visit for their favourite dish or to try something new.”
