Vapiano opens new Paddington restaurant

The group has already appointed Marco Dechecco, who has been with the group for over five years, to oversee the restaurant as manager

Made-to-order Italian restaurant, Vapiano, has opened a new location in Paddington, London, on 14 December. This is the first launch in the capital for the brand since Vapiano Tottenham Court Road, which was launched in 2018.

The new Paddington location, which is only 4,500 sq ft and will serve 168 covers compared to the typical 350 covers, is on the corner of Eastbourne Terrace and Craven Road, close to the train station and the up-and-coming Paddington basin.

The restaurant chain, which is known for offering hyper-customisable menus, serves handmade fresh pasta and pizza that are cooked to order using quality ingredients made on site.

The Paddington venue will reportedly benefit from popular dishes such as Gamberetti E Spinaci with King Prawns, Aglio E Olio with the option to customise the dish by adding fresh chilli, garlic, meat or fish.

Meanwhile, the brand also offers a pizza menu that has options such as Diavolo and a hearty Calzone with mushrooms, prosciutto and mozzarella. As with the pasta menu, pizzas can be customised for guests to enjoy their “dream combinations”.

It is reported that this is the fourth restaurant from the group to hit the capital alongside the “busiest Vapiano in the world”, Great Portland Street near Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road and Tower Bridge.
