Wagamama targets office workers with new lunchtime delivery concept
Following trials of five signature boxes filled with the Asian ingredients, the concept is now expanding throughout London and into Leeds
Wagamama has launched a new lunchtime delivery concept aimed at those working in the office or from home.
It said the new format, called ‘Box’, is aimed towards the new and evolving work patterns. It added that since the new year two million commuters are back in London every week and the rest of the country has also witnessed a “major drive” to get back to work in the office.
With these evolving working patterns Wagamama said it expects flexibility with a mixture of back in the office and working from home. Following trials of five signature boxes filled with the Asian ingredients, the concept proved a “huge success”, and is now expanding throughout London and into Leeds.
The specially crafted, lighter lunch boxes include: miso mixed veg (vg), aromatic chicken, chicken katsu, teriyaki pulled duck and yasai katsu (vg) as well as a selection of side boxes and soft drinks, and are available with free delivery for new customers via deliveroo in: Bow, Balham, Forest Hill, Hackney, Leeds, Old Street, Peckham, Sutton, Walthamstow.
Max Simons-Dukes, Wagamama senior brand manager, said: “The insight was clear and we delivered. Guests are searching for a wagamama-inspired lunch, that’s light, healthy and delivered quickly, whether you’re working from home or in the office.
“We’re on a mission to disrupt the lunch category, whilst leveraging the credentials of our well-loved wagamama brand. The expansion of BOX throughout London and now into Leeds is a clear testament to its success and we’re incredibly excited for what’s to come in the future.”
