Yummy Pubs acquires London venue for new concept Faber
The company will be working to obtain a pipeline of sites to roll out more Faber restaurants over the next five years
National pub company, Yummy Pubs, has acquired the long-term lease on the former Villagio restaurant site in Hammersmith to debut its new British seafood restaurant concept, Faber.
The site, which occupies a prime corner location in the centre of Hammersmith, will be undergoing a complete refurbishment before reopening as Faber.
While an opening day for Faber is yet to be announced, the company will be working alongside commercial estate agent Christie and Co to obtain a pipeline of sites to roll out more Faber restaurants over the next five years.
Anthony Pender, founder of Yummy Pubs, said: “We’re very excited to announce that we have created a new British seafood restaurant concept as part of our Yummy Pub collection.
“The character and composition of this property in Hammersmith makes it the perfect pilot site and we look forward to bringing the new restaurant to life.”
David Wilson, associate director of London pubs and restaurants at Christie and Co, said: “We are delighted to have secured Anthony Pender and Yummy Pub Company as the new tenant for this prime restaurant site and can’t wait to see it turned into the new ‘fresh fish for all’ restaurant concept, Faber.
“This sale is the latest transaction we have completed with Yummy Pub Company, following the disposals of the Gorringe Park in Tooting and the Wiremill in Lingfield last year, and we look forward to working with them on future deals.”
