The Berkeley to open rooftop bar to public
The bar, which is usually just open to hotel guests, will offer views of London’s skyline as well as a brand new Mexican-inspired menu
The Berkeley will open its rooftop located between Knightsbridge and Belgravia to all starting from 11 July.
The bar, which is usually just open to hotel guests, will offer views of London’s skyline as well as a brand new Mexican-inspired menu.
In collaboration with Patrón, The Berkeley will serve up a series of tequila-based cocktails, including a tequila colada paired with mango lassi, coconut cream, vanilla and lime.
The menu will include a trio of tacos as well as a ‘make your own’ guacamole. Other dishes include smoked salt marsh lamb shoulder with pickled jalapeno and saffron aioli in a blue corn taco, barbeque jackfruit with peppers, coconut and coriander cream in a white corn taco, and Dover sole with charred sweetcorn, mojo emulsion in an avocado taco.
On ‘Taco Tuesdays’ there will be a fourth secret off-menu option, which is available for one night only and changes every week. A soft serve machine will also dispense a selection of changing ice cream flavours throughout the season.
Guests will be transported to the rooftop by the lift, discovering a sun-bathed mural along the way, and once outside will be greeted by the swimming pool, tables and sun loungers. The rooftop will be open Tuesday to Saturday.
