Yum! Brands reported a 3% decline in revenue to $1.5bn (£1.1bn) for Q1. Operating profit for the group also declined by 1% to $520m (£414m), while core operating profit grew 6%. KFC revenues declined by 8% to $632m (£503m), while sales for the division declined 4% to $105m (£83m). 

Nightcap responded to speculations that it plans to acquire Revolution Bars, following its documented struggles with debt. Nightcap has confirmed that it is assessing a number of possible options, which could include the acquisition of certain Revolution Bars. Nightcap’s evaluation of its options is currently at a “relatively early” stage. The board considers that certain brands of Revolution Bars could be “an excellent addition to Nightcap’s existing portfolio of brands”.  

Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats will be preventing exploitation of account sharing by those looking to work. Michael Tomlinson, the minister for Countering Illegal Migration, and minister Hollinrake, the minister for Business and Trade, met with representatives from the three companies on Monday (1 May) for productive talks at the Home Office in London. It follows a visit to Deliveroo’s London headquarters by both ministers last week.

The Royal Oak pub in North West Durham has been brought to market for £370k. The main trading area comprises a bar and dining areas with seating and standing for around 100 guests. At first floor level there is a four bedroom owners/manager’s flat with lounge, bathroom and kitchen.
