UKH wants to see Labour “deliver on its commitments, and quick” after the party secured a landslide victory at the general election. Within the first 100 weeks, the trade body says hospitality needs to see reduced employer National Insurance contributions to help businesses with their staffing costs and to help drive net zero. 

Pizza Union is searching for new sites in Central London as sales have risen by 2% from £8.03m to £8.18m during the year ended 31 December 2023. The pizza chain has attributed its performance to improved sales trends as the post-pandemic’s gradual return to office picked up momentum last year.

Marston’s appointed Kenneth Lever as independent non-executive chair, effective from 8 July. Lever will succeed William Rucker who, as previously announced, will step down from the board on the same date. Lever will also be appointed as chair of the Nomination Committee.

Wingstop UK has undergone a series of senior leadership changes. Chris Sherriff, who is currently COO, has been promoted to co-CEO, alongside Tom Grogan, who is currently co-Founder and director.
