Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck Group posted a pre-tax loss of £1.4m for the year ended 28 May 2023. In documents filed on Companies House, the parent company of Fat Duck and the Hinds Head pub in Bray saw a dip in turnover from £11.5m in 2022 to £9.5m in 2023. The company stated that it was heavily impacted by supply chain inflation, recruitment challenges, and damages to consumer spending.
HSG FM Group has acquired catering services company Radish. Established in 2015, HSG FM Group provides a range of services to support businesses in meeting specific requirements to a professional and high standard. The company aims to develop long-term working partnerships with clients, helping them “achieve success through a single approach to facilities management”.
SSP Group and The Breakfast Club have opened the chain’s first outlet in a UK train station. The St Pancras location is The Breakfast Club’s second opening in partnership with SSP, following an opening in Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal. With all-day dining and a full bar offer, the 3,660 sq ft location caters for up to 156 dine-in customers.
The Berkeley will open a rooftop bar to all on 11 July. Located between Knightsbridge and Belgravia, the bar, which is usually just open to hotel guests, will offer views of London’s skyline as well as a brand new Mexican-inspired menu.
Scotland’s only cocktail bar on the beach has been brought to market for £195k. The Cladach Beach House on the Isle of Arran features both indoor and outdoor seating, a cosy indoor log burner, outdoor fire pit and Tiki-style bar.
