UKH has welcomed Martyn’s Law, which was laid in parliament yesterday (12 September), providing updates to many key elements of the legislation. Martyn’s Law will introduce a new requirement on venues in the UK to ensure they are prepared in the event of a future terror attack. The bill has confirmed that the Security Industry Authority will be the regulator.

Pret a Manger, Krispy Kreme and Subway are going to debut at Gloucester Quays. The trio of F&B signings follows a “successful” Summer Food Festival at Gloucester Quays, which welcomed over 150 stalls from local operators, uplifting footfall at the outlet by 37% week-on-week, and seeing a 4.5% boost to total sales.

Admiral Taverns has opened the new Britannia Inn, after an investment of £227k. The pub has undergone a complete transformation including new furniture, fixtures and fittings throughout as well as a new bar area and games room. The pub is part of Proper Pubs which has more than 200 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales.
