Popeyes UK will open its 50th site in Glasgow and has revealed it is on track to deliver the growth it projected in January – doubling the size of its UK estate this year. Popeyes entered the UK market back in November 2021 and has since seen success with 49 location openings, including seven drive-thru and 13 delivery kitchens across the UK.
Hydes has spent £1m renovating the outdoor spaces of its pubs in time for summer. This is part of the group’s ongoing pub refurbishment programme, which has seen over £10m get invested back into the Hydes pub estate since 2022. Hydes also has a packed programme of summer events taking place.
The Macallan has partnered with El Celler de Can Roca on a new dining experience, TimeSpirit. Taking place at The Macallan Estate this summer, this will be the Spanish restaurant’s first dining concept outside of Spain and will offer diners a nine-course tasting menu.
Eastway Brasserie has appointed Pedro Costa as its new head chef. Costa brings over 20 years of culinary experience and has worked in some of the most prestigious establishments. Some of his past experience includes working with the ETM Group and the exclusive Soho House.
