Fuller’s reported strong like-for-like sales growth of 5.3% in Q1, as trading momentum has continued. The pubs and hotels business also revealed that its margins have recovered off the heels of inflationary pressures easing. According to the group, the sale of its non-core pubs has strengthened its balance sheet and reduced underlying net debt to £92m.

Tropea will be expanding into the premises next door. The Birmingham-based restaurant’s extension will see the addition of a bar that will accommodate up to four covers for walk-ins and table top style dining, alongside a further 15 covers in the restaurant. Meanwhile, the outdoor terrace will also offer six more covers and the kitchen size will double.

Admiral Taverns has opened Warrington’s Church Inn after a £265k refurb. The new pub features a brand-new bar as well as new furniture, flooring, fixtures and fittings to modernise the pub and elevate the overall look and feel. Outside, it has been completely repainted and now hosts updated lighting and signage to welcome customers.
