SSP introduced Café Local, a travel-focused café and retail concept in UK regional rail stations. Already in 15 stations like Exeter and Reading, the flagship store resides in Peterborough, with plans for 15 more in a year. Offering barista coffee, snacks, drinks, and travel essentials, it fills the void at these stations. CEO Kari Daniels highlights its convenience and customer appeal, looking forward to expanding this successful venture.

Young’s and Co.’s Brewery has acquired Tattenham Corner Pub in Epsom Downs from Whitbread. This marks Young’s first venture in Epsom, overlooking Epsom racecourse. The 8,000 sq ft pub with a 220-seat capacity and vast garden will undergo refurbishment, closing immediately for the transformation. Simon Dodd, CEO, sees this as a promising step into an affluent locale, prioritising a premium pub and dining experience.

Admiral Taverns has reopened The Spinners pub in Leigh following a £250k revamp. The refurbishment introduced two new bars, refreshed interiors, and spruced up the beer garden with inviting festive lighting.
