Gail’s owner, Bread Holdings, is readying for a potential sale for more than £200m, according to Sky News. The news comes as Gail’s, which is also part-owned by Risk Capital Partners, has grown rapidly after Bread Holdings acquired it in September 2021. According to sources, a formal sale process is unlikely to take place until next year.
Arc Inspirations has raised £7m towards a UK-wide expansion plan. The operator of Banyan, BOX and Manahatta has secured £4m from HSBC and an additional £3m equity boost from shareholders. The group aims to open at least four new sites per year over the next five years, as well as set in motion a refurbishment programme at existing Manahatta sites.
Piccolino Caffé Grande in Manchester city centre has reopened its doors following a refit and refurbishment. Located on Clarence Street, overlooking Manchester Town Hall, the restaurant has been there for 23 years and seats 250 diners.
Al Dente will open its fifth location in Angel, London. The restaurant chain is set to launch the new eatery in April 2024, following a string of successful openings that began in 2018. The founders also plan to further expand operations in the UK capital, doubling the restaurant group’s presence in London within the next two years.
