Red Engine, owner of Flight Club and Electric Shuffle, has posted sales of £67m for 2023, up 26% year-on-year. It also revealed that Red Engine venues and partner venues sales when combined exceeded £100m for 2023, up 28% YOY, with like-for-like sales increasing by 10%.
Danieli Holdings posted losses of £268,958, despite a turnover of £9.8m by April 2023. The group attributed this to the closure of Stack Newcastle in May 2022. Nevertheless, the group had an EBITDA of £4.1m for the year, which the directors believe is a “significant” achievement for a business undergoing major changes.
Brakspear appointed Chris Keating as marketing manager of leased and tenanted pubs. Keating joins with a wealth of pub sector experience gained during his 17 years working for Witney brewer Refresh and, following its acquisition, for Marston’s. In his new role, Keating will be helping business partners to run thriving pub businesses in their local communities across the south east.
Shepherd Neame reopened The Crown pub in Blackheath Village after a £750k refurb. The former 16th-Century coaching inn has undergone a seven-week refurbishment which has introduced a new look while also retaining its “unique” features.
