The Brighton Pier Group’s H1 saw sales drop across the board due to bad weather that had impacted sales at the Pier, Lightwater Valley Family Adventure Park, Paradise Island Adventure Golf and its bars. Despite a warm and sunny spell in the last week, the group now anticipates full-year sales for the Pier to be lower than previously expected. 

Drinks sales rose 14% in pubs, bars and restaurants due to the Euros final, and has been called the “best” of the summer so far. The day of the Euro final (14 July) sent sales soaring by 123% against the same Sunday in July 2023, as millions of consumers headed to pubs and bars. 

Hospitality bookings for Christmas 2024 are up by 54%, compared with the same point in 2023 according to data from technology provider Zonal. Over half of the bookings (52%) that have already been made are for Christmas Day itself, compared with 44% this time last year.

Be At One will open its second Liverpool location on 2 August. It comes as the cocktail bar chain has invested £800k into the North John Street location, which will accommodate up to 300 guests. Additionally, Be At One Liverpool North John Street will also feature a Selfie Wall and a photo booth.
